Exclusive Interview of Gorgeous Nazia Malik

Nazia Malik is a renowned host and a cooking expert as well. She also hosted many cooking shows with so many renowned chefs.

Nazia Malik has started her career from commercials, dramas and shows, she has done her first cooking show from GEO TV with Chef Mehboob named Kisan Lazaat Ke Jan after this she has started doing work with TV One and hosted many cooking shows and other magazine shows. She has worked with Ambreen for Kitchen Queen, Chef Mehboob, Farah Jhanzaib and etc. She has done lots of commercials like Citi Bank, Allied Bank, Ufone, Telenor, Zong, Paktel, Limo Pani Thanda Orange and etc. She has done one serial and has done more than 30 long play and telefilms from different channels.

Nazia malik is a fashion designer also. She introduced her formal line mainly a fusion of eastern wear while reflecting the moods of western cuts. Her line is mostly dominant with a cultural flair of Pakistani art & art n crafts and due to Nazia’s awareness in graphic designs plus education in fashion helped making her products, truly exhilarating the body and elevate the soul, making the worlds of ‘Beauty and the East’ synonymous to each other. She has took part in many faishon shows as a designer she almost worked with all well known models of Pakistan like Eraj Manzoor, Rubab, Nadia Hussain, Eman Ali and Neha, her faishon collection is phenomenal she work on Bridal, formal, semi formal and western cuts, she elaborate about the experience of Karachi Fashion Week, she get wonderful response from people there, and Eraj was the show stopper in her Show, she said her outfit look best on Eraj.

Currently she is doing morning show from Business Plus; it’s an infotainment show in which different celebrities are invited in the show including different experts like doctors and Nutrition to serve people. Doing two cooking shows from ZAIQA TV, one is DASTARKHAWAN with Chef Mehdi and other is SEHAT AUR LAZAT in this show she act as host and chef both.

Educational Background:

Nazia Malik has done her Bachelors in Commerce; she is very versatile and committed artist that’s why she has done many special courses to make herself groomed for this she has done Diploma in fashion, makeup and Styling. She also have done diploma in graphics designing and photography. A year back she did diploma in food and beverage from PITHM.

Achievement:
Nazia Malik was very much crazy to interview Imran Khan. She declares it her biggest achievement since in media as it was her dream. She is ever fan of him from her childhood.

Interview
It’s not often that you come across a fashion designer turned model/actor… it’s mostly the other way around. But not with Nazia Malik! The girl has always known what she wants and has been a go-getter. This Piscean lass has obtained diplomas in quite a few genres of art - Fashion Designing, Graphic Designing, Art, Cooking, Photography and make-up post graduation.
It was some seven years back that Nazia forayed into the world of fashion designing and “at that time I used to give interviews and that is what brought me in contact with the media personnel. So I started getting offers for serials.”
On being in showbiz she says, “It is a good way of earning a quick buck but my passion remains designing. But don’t start thinking I’m about to leave showbiz for I have no such intentions,” she smiles.

We have been seeing Nazia trying to coerce us into buying some product or the other on television; and then she looks you straight in the eye out of some glossy or the other yet, the lass refuses to be called a model. “No! No! No! I cannot be labelled a model! I am not interested in catwalk or fashion photography. What I do like to call myself is an actor and an anchor person. I love to work as a host, especially in live shows, they really get me going. These days I’m doing live sehri/iftar shows on quite a few local channels,” clarifies Nazia.
“I have done commercials I admit but I am not in the catwalk scene at all because I am a fashion designer and would much rather see our beautiful models adorning my clothes on the ramp,” she quips.

Wanting to delve more about her designing she enthusiastically continues, “When

I started designing I introduced a purely western line; there was nothing traditional at that time. Then I branched out and concentrated on a fusion line. Presently I am working on both western and fusion collections.” Nazia seeks inspiration from nature especially “stars, galaxy, diamonds, flowers, colours, dreams and depth of the sea inspires me the most.”
Nazia believes in working hard. She is a permanent fixture on nearly all the local channels and it makes you wonder if she ever sleeps. But no matter how busy she is Nazia always manages to fit her family and friends in her tight schedule. “Whenever I have the time I go out with my friends and we have a great time. I simply love being with my family and friends,” she admits.
Her preference of attire like her preference in designing is also western wear. But these days she’s more inclined towards “fusion wear.” Add to that a prettily made up Nazia and you have a charming personality in front of you. “I have always been a make-up person but not anymore. Now that I am doing the live shows and have to wear make-up everyday I don’t like it on my face more than is necessary. You will only catch me with my face painted these days if I have to attend some special event.” Which she does quite frequently! Where there is action you are bound to see this butterfly socialising.
