Designer Minhal Aly of Silver Linings launched first outlet in Karachi

KARACHI: Designer Minhal Aly , after consistently displaying her creative designs in Pakistan and other countries launched her first flagship store in D.H.A Phase 6, Karachi.

Parliamentarian, anthropologist, PhD Scholar Dr. Nafisa Shah inaugurated the event. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the Silver Linings’ newly launched store which was followed by a glitzy fashion presentation. Renowned models including Nadia Hussain, Rubab Masood and Sunita Marshall , dressed up in formal and bridal outfits walked the ramp displaying Silver Linings latest collection, the hair and make-up for the event was done by Nadia Hussain Salon. The high-end event which was creatively organized by Takell was well-attended by who’s who of the media, showbiz, fashion and social scene.

Minhal while talking about the launch said, “I'm very excited and nervous at the same time. I am excited because it has been our long due dream to open a retail outlet and we really want it to be successful. With the launch of this outlet we are ready to compete with big brands out there.”

Dr. Nafisa Shah while talking to the media said she considered it as an ideal place to shop for fashion lovers.

“It is an excellent place to visit as they offer bridal and formal outfits in reasonable prices. Minhal has been in this business for 4 years and she certainly masters the art of transforming an ordinary piece of cloth into creative piece” she added.   

Silver Linings’ newly launched store had a complete range of women's wear from formal to bridal outfits. The store was segregated in two floors - ground floor had an exclusive variety of heavy exquisite jewelry and dresses whereas a bridal studio was situated at mezzanine floor. The brand corresponds with modern women of today who are bold and confident yet feminine. The combination of daring to be unordinary, a sharp eye for detail and staying true to its roots provides the driving force behind Silver linings available to clients locally and internationally.

The dentist turned designer, has carved a niche for herself with her unique work in the fashion world.  Minhal has showcased her collection in leading fashion weeks internationally and locally. With a mission to take her brand to another level, she is planning to expand the retail base to all the major cities of Pakistan.
